mcMMO - What is a skill?

As you are digging your mine, or digging a plot for your new house, or falling down a hill, you may notice one of your skills being increased.
So what does this all mean? This is a test of the new plugin MCMMO, which simulates leveling up and gives you tasks to do and special abilities in return.

Remember you may not have some of the commands that are described on the wiki - for instance parties and party chat are disabled and you do not have access to these commands.
