Here I will keep you guys updated on everything I need to do or plan on doing in preparation for our switch to bukkit. If you have any opinions about something we are planning on doing please let me know.

Find most stable recent bukkit release - DONE (build 323)
Set up permissions for admins - DONE
Set up permissions for guests - DONE
Set up permissions for builders - DONE
Set up permissions for advbuilders - DONE
Set up permissions for superbuilders - DONE
Test server stability - DONE
Set up Multi-World support - DONE
Set up Nether world - DONE
Set up Guest world - DONE
Set up portal support for multi-world setup - DONE
Set up Dynamic map for online viewing - DONE
Set up Minecart Mania (way more stable than how craftbook handles minecarts, we may try them out again) - DONE
Set up Stargates (place to place travel) - DONE
Set up jailing and punishment system - DONE
Set up spawn system - DONE
Move server to server computer - PENDING...
Make a new map - DONE
Make a developed spawn area - IN PROGRESS
Set up area protection - DONE
Set up big brother for grief rollbacks and protection - DONE

Fixed ranking system - file is blank though, so as you come on the server you will receive your rank by an admin.
Names now work like this:
[Admin]h31ix: hi
for other ranks:
Guest - [G] Random: hi
Builder - [B] Random: hi
AdvBuilder - [AB] Random: hi (YES there is a new AB color)
SuperBuilder - [SB] Random: hi

Added cuboid protected areas, and added WorldEdit to replace cuboid in editing areas.
Almost ready for launch now, we just need to finish the spawn, our new form of transportation, the minecart station, and we will be good to go!
I'm excited for you guys to play on the new server!

- Added higher memory dumps. Server will now dump ~250mb every time a player logs off or logs on, and periodically around every 5 minutes.
(Does not cause lag in the server while it does this, you wont even notice, but it decreases need for server restarts)
- Added better nether, multiworld, and teleportation capabilities.
(I know you guys dont like the portals and I'm working on a new way to tp but its all we have for now.)

-Fixed /kit content - now provides appropriate tools (i think)
-Fixed crash when getting a kit - specifically when you open your inventory after you get a kit.

/tp and /tphere now function as one command - tping works like this

/tp [PLAYER YOU WANT TO TP] [TARGET PLAYER]

If I wanted to tp me to Dan I would type

/tp h31ix dandamanzx

if I wanted to tp him to me I would type

/tp dandamanzx h31ix

QuickPort is also coming - added to to-do list, I forgot about it.

Hmmm... are chest locks still working? And you know what'd be cool? Locking wood doors. Not just with whitelist but by making them private! It can go for iron door levers and pressure plates too. Surprised

Yes protection is on the list.

Yes, and we have added support for admins to spawn any type of mob.

Invisible cannot be used unless dealing with a potential griefer as updated by the rules, it is still very useful in that regard and will not be removed.

Creators of citys will be able to define areas where they want pvp to occur and for it to be not available - if your outside of a city or spawn your free game Smile

Server now frees memory every 5 minutes, decreasing the need for memory dumps.
Group modding not working (?) but will fix tommorow, im going to BED

minecarts WOULD be nice = they are shiny
stargates should cost money only if minecarfts get going = maybe.. we probably wont be using stargates.. but rather a different type of transportation Very Happy

(another type of instant transportation - im not talking about minecarts)

my friend (super computer nerd) has a decent server and i can ask him if we could use it,,,, well im not good with those kinda stuff sooo will it work? setting the h31ix minecraft server on my friends server? and yea im not 100% sure he will let us use it tho......

Can you get the specs of the computer for me?
Also ask him (if we can use it) if it can stay on 24/7?

I need to know:
Operating system
Computer Manufactorer and model if possible
amount of ram
CPU
amount of storage
and the internet connection speed the computer gets.. you can test this at www.speedtest.net
